Our team
Karina Santjohanser:
Founder & CEO
Karina is the founder, CEO, and communications hub between India, Nepal, and Germany. As the creative and driving force behind PRADIYA, she has combined her extensive experience in the corporate world and her passion for social responsibility to create an inspiring platform.
Her entrepreneurial skills align with her passion for yoga and sports. Running or cycling provides her with balance, new energy, and fresh ideas and inspiration, which she usually discusses with Oinak immediately afterward. Her daily yoga practice gives her the mental strength to transform the challenges of a startup into wonderful transformation and ease.
She chose the elephant logo for PRADIYA because it represents her deep love for India and emphasizes a special connection to the elephant god Ganesha. This symbol conveys wisdom, prudence, and the ability to overcome obstacles, which underscores PRADIYA's corporate philosophy.
Ganesha symbolizes the unity of diversity in the mission to provide disadvantaged children with a stable home and educational opportunities for a promising future.
Oinak Singh:
PRADIYA Foundation Nepal & PRADIYA Scarves
Oinak Singh, 25, from India, has his roots in Ramana's Garden Children's Home & School in Rishikesh, where he grew up. Oinak's parents had to flee Nepal during the civil war, which exposed them to great hardship. Nevertheless, he was the first in his family to pursue a career in education, business, and law.
Oinak is dedicated to important causes such as gender equality, environmental protection, and education. Even before studying law, he was passionate about volunteer work and actively campaigning for positive change in society. His vision is impressive: the establishment of PRADIYA, an orphanage and an affiliated school in the Nepalese Himalayan foothills with a focus on sustainability.
There, he aims to establish a global, conscious community focused on comprehensive education and sustainable living. He has already achieved much in this ambitious project. The home for the children has been built, they have moved in, the garden is planted, fruits and vegetables are being grown, and construction of the school has begun.
