The project in Nepal
In the Oda community, Oinak Singh inherited land from his grandfather, which he donates to the Pradiya Foundation. Here, in the foothills of the Himalayas, nature is still virtually untouched. Living conditions for the people in the villages are challenging; they use traditional techniques and methods for construction, cooking, medicine, and agriculture.
We've completed the construction of the orphanage, planted vegetable gardens, and begun the construction of the school building; the foundations and walls are currently being erected. Although we're making good progress, heavy rains and blocked roads are making it difficult to transport materials. These have to be transported by hand, resulting in high costs.
In addition to the construction project, we have already taken 13 girls between the ages of 4 and 12 into our care.
We will also house women who have experienced domestic violence. We will provide them with food, shelter, and medical care, and enable them to engage in farming, weaving, construction, and entrepreneurial skills.
In our school, we will teach compassion and kindness, education and vocational training, academic and business skills, life skills, sustainable organic food production, yoga and meditation, and much more.
Our project in Oda is challenging, but we are confident that with the passion, experience and skills of each individual on the team, we can achieve our goals through collaboration, dedication and donations.
There are numerous ways to support our projects. Below is just a small selection:
- Sponsor a child
- Sponsor a rabbit
- Training of a weaver
- Buying a cow, a goat, a chicken.
- Extension of the house for our children / extension of the kitchen
- Construction of a classroom / construction of a toilet
- Purchase of a solar system and inverter
