Impressions from Bharat Tex New Delhi 2025

What does true sustainability mean in the textile industry?

This question led me to Bharat Tex 2025 in Delhi – one of India's largest textile trade fairs. For the first time, I was there not only as a visitor, but also as a potential buyer, with a special focus on Handcraft, tradition and sustainable materials .

My impressions in bullet points:

Handwoven masterpieces: The variety of traditional weaving techniques was impressive – from the finest silk fabrics to robust khadi.

Sustainable materials: Organic cotton, plant-dyed fabrics and innovative fibers were the focus of many stands.

Empowering women through craftsmanship: Many projects enable women to achieve economic independence through working on traditional looms.

Social responsibility: Numerous manufacturers rely on fair wages and ethical production.

New inspiration for PRADIYA: I made exciting contacts and discovered opportunities for sustainable product development.

What does this mean for PRADIYA?

I am always looking for new products from social and fair projects , especially with a focus on the Support for women . I also examine Options to further develop our current PRADIYA products to further expand our commitment to sustainability and ethical craftsmanship.

The Bharat Tex has shown me once again: Traditional craftsmanship is the key to a more sustainable future.
