Knowing her family is fed.
In Oda, a small village in Nepal's Kalikot district, an average family lives under one roof with five children, grandparents, and perhaps a sister or brother. For a mother there, every day begins with the same question: Is there enough to feed everyone?
Dhal Bhat – rice with lentil soup – is Nepal's staple dish. It's served twice a day, in the morning and evening. It's food, ritual, and security all in one. If Dhal Bhat doesn't run out, everything is fine.
This Mother's Day, we're giving back more
For Mother's Day 2026, we at PRADIYA have come up with something that is closer to what truly moves mothers – on both sides of the world.
Every scarf sold provides one month of sponsorship for one of our children in Nepal. Every Mala bracelet gives a child a pair of shoes.
And this Mother's Day, there's something extra: if you buy a PRADIYA scarf and a Mala bracelet together, you also give a family in our village in Oda, Nepal, a complete month's supply of Dhal Bhat – rice, lentils, and flour. Enough for a mother, her husband, five children, and the grandparents.

Why Dhal Bhat – and not something else?
Because that's what matters. Not what looks important from the outside, but what a mother in Nepal actually needs. Rice, lentils, and flour are not charity – they are the foundation of what holds a family together.
PRADIYA has been rooted in Oda since its inception. Our orphanage houses 27 children, and the associated school is attended by 124 children from the region. We know the families. We know the mothers. And we know what helps them.
